Diversity in the Workplace: Conflict & Communication

Diversity in the workplace is more than something that’s “nice-to-have,” it’s a "must-have."

Recent national and local events have prompted employers to examine their approach and response to diversity in the workplace – both on jobsites and in office settings.

Course participants will explore the individual prejudices we all carry, how and why stereotypes were created and how to interact with people as individuals, instead of members of a certain group. Employers will learn to recognize micro aggressions and begin to develop a blueprint for confidently responding when difficult conversations are necessary. Everyone will discover that when you look closely, our similarities outnumber our differences.

Prevailing Wage: Legal Liability & Compliance

When it comes to prevailing wage laws, don’t “think” you’re in compliance – "KNOW" you are.

Ohio’s prevailing wage laws have existed since 1931, but for contractors who don’t do a lot of public work, the law can be confusing – and costly – for non-compliance. Ensure that your team understands the requirements of Ohio’s prevailing wage law and how it impacts your company.

This program is being offered in-person and online. In-person seating is limited; and once filled, all registrants will be added to the live virtual program. If you are interested in the online presentation only, please email Deb Murphy to receive the registration link.
